Airlie Beach is the central access point to the unique chain of 74 Whitsunday Islands. Virtually all of these islands are National Parks, with just eight island resorts sprinkled throughout. The entire chain is set in a world heritage marine park and is sheltered by the “eighth wonder of the World”, the Great Barrier reef.
Portside Whitsunday is the perfect location in Airlie Beach for the holiday-maker. It combines its own unique attractions and services with its proximity to all that the town’s tourist strip has to offer. There are no hills to walk up. Portside is directly across the road from the main Marina, “Port of Airlie ” and all the town’s main facilities are but a short stroll away including the famous Airlie Lagoon.

Getting to Portside Whitsunday
By Road : Turn off the Bruce Highway 1km north of Proserpine and follow the signs to Airlie Beach and the Whitsundays. Travel through central Airlie Beach and you’ll find Portside at the end of the main street opposite Coconut Grove.
All major coach companies service the route to Airlie Beach on a daily basis.
By Air:
Fly into Proserpine’s Whitsunday Airport – 35 minute Shuttle or Coach transfers.
Limousine or taxi transfers available
Fly into Hamilton Island Airport :
Resort Connection transfers from HTI Airport to Portside Whitsunday – Airlie Beach. Taxi/Limousines available from Ferries or follow the walkway and Portside Whitsunday is located across the road.
By Rail: There are daily trains from Brisbane and Cairns that service the Whitsundays, with a short coach or taxi ride from Proserpine station to Airlie Beach.
